Job Description

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for contributing to strategic/brand planning and overseeing tactical execution of marketing programs (personal promotion, digital, nonpersonal promotion, internal brand communications) for commercial products, as well as potential pipeline products as they near product launch. The position requires a highly motivated individual who can collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the success of all assigned brands and contribute to Company's long-term growth. 


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of successful implementation and execution of tactical marketing plans (HCP/PT/CG, including NPP) within budget by managing third-party vendors (creative agencies, media agencies, etc.) to develop multi-channel marketing initiatives to align with overarching brand strategy. Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of all tactics.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, medical, legal, compliance, as well as outside agencies, to develop and implement brand strategies and tactics to drive growth and achieve business goals. Includes managing the development and review of materials in the Veeva PromoMats system. Ensure sales force materials are approved for use and communicate with sales force when materials need to be replaced/destroyed.
  • Support the development of the annual strategic and tactical marketing plans and corresponding promotional budgets. Includes identifying new vendors for cost savings and expanded reach.
  • Expand, optimize and execute a multi-channel digital marketing program supporting the identification, education, activation and engagement of HCP audiences.
  • Manage internal and external partners on day-to-day program execution and optimization of branded and unbranded web properties and CRM programs, ensuring they drive toward strategic goals.
  • Fold in HCP/PT/CG media plans incorporating paid search, paid social media, third-party media, HCP/PT/CG custom media and display advertising campaigns.
  • Form and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional business partners, including product marketing, corporate communications, IT, Sales, Sales Training, Medical, and Access.
  • Maintain ownership of the quality and consistency of web standards, content and structure for the Brand.
  • Monitor spending and budget process, including monthly reporting on forecast vs. actual.
  • Manage marketing analytics, insights and optimizations for HCP non-personal promotion digital channels and tactics.
  • Stay on top of changing digital behaviors and trends and regularly communicate opportunities and insights.
  • Domestic travel is up to 30%

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Orphan or Ultra Rare Disease marketing experience
  • New product launch and pre-launch market development experience
  • Prior health care marketing experience required, experience in advertising/communications agency experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of work experience in one or more of the following: sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Strong digital marketing understanding, required
  • Understanding of social media channels and the respective strengths, demographics, and high engagement tactics in each.
  • Understanding HCP-specific media channels is a plus.
  • Experience managing paid advertising programs and budgets.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and using data to make recommendations and drive decisions.
  • Understanding pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and their impact on marketing strategies and execution.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and resources concurrently on time and on budget
  • Comfortable and energized operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work within label, and regulatory and legal compliance guidelines. 
  • Domestic travel is up to 30%

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.
