Job Description

Our client's Pre-Pivotal Drug Substance Technologies Organization is seeking a Process Development Contract Worker to join the Cell Line Development group. The Cell Line Development group is responsible for developing production cell lines for the client's large molecule pipeline.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for supporting pipeline program advancement, contributing to development of innovative methods for improving single cell cloning and clone screening technologies as well as generating relevant data towards regulatory submissions, publications, and patent applications.

The candidate will work in a team environment, collaborating with various colleagues in Process Development, Discovery, as well as interact with regulatory and quality experts in support of global regulatory filings. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
  • Develop and characterize manufacturing cell lines, including, transfection, selection, single cell cloning, and clone scale up, clone screening and cell banking
  • Support cell engineering and characterization activities
  • Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Generate written reports and communicate project updates
  • Implement innovative methods to improve expression technologies
  • Generate relevant data toward publications, patent applications, and regulatory submissions
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Scientific experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and 4 years of Scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Scientific experience OR
  • Master’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in life science or related fields
  • Hands on experience in mammalian cell culture and excellent aseptic techniques
  • Strong understanding of cell biology and molecular biology
  • Ability to explore and develop novel technologies and approaches
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to design and troubleshoot experiments with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on timelines and adapt to rapid changes in project priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience with automation for high throughput cell culture, microscopy, and/ or assay development is a plus
