Associate Scientist
Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join a dynamic research team dedicated to advancing biotech innovations. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process tissue samples and specimens for transcriptomic and proteomic analyses.
- Culture and maintain in vitro models, including cell lines and organoids, for discovery and validation purposes.
- Implement molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA handling and library preparation for sequencing.
- Support flow cytometry workflows, including assay setup, controls, and system maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of next-generation sequencing experiments.
- Collaborate with team members on experimental design, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
- Present research findings in internal meetings and contribute to team discussions.
- Provide technical support for high-throughput tissue culture systems, including 96-well assay formats.
- Operate with precision and attention to detail in a highly collaborative onsite research environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred in biological sciences, molecular biology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research laboratory settings.
- Proven hands-on experience with tissue culture, including cell line and organoid culture.
- Strong molecular biology skills, including RNA/DNA extraction and handling.
- Experience with flow cytometry, including routine assay procedures.
- Familiarity with high-throughput tissue culture systems and 96-well plate-based assays.
- Additional experience supporting next-generation sequencing and RNA library preparation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated research expertise with excellent bench skills and technical decision-making abilities.
