Associate Scientist
Job Description
With minimal supervision, plans, conducts or monitors experiments, records and organizes data, analyses results, generates robust and reliable data and/or ensures that contracted studies are conducted in compliance with the respective protocol and applicable guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Following established experimental design and protocols and performing routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision.
- Â Planning, monitoring or conducting, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data.
- Â Working efficiently in a matrix team environment and collaborates with coworkers.
- Communicating data and interpretation to work group.
- Effectively using systems to ensure quality data.
- Executing assays using standard laboratory equipment (e.g. HPLC, UHPLC, CE, pH, viscosity, HIAC).
- Effectively trouble-shooting equipment and experimental difficulties.
- Contributing to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or patents.
- Participating in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting and committees.
- Potentially training staff.
- Coordinating and organizing resources needed to complete experiments.
- Understands when to seek input and when to make independent judgments.

Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
- Perform experiments, organize data and analyze results under minimal supervision.
- Purity characterization by chromatography
- Working in a group setting
- Experience working with proteins
