Job Description

The candidate will support advancement of innovative AAV-based therapeutics by using a variety of research methods including mammalian cell culture, molecular and biochemical techniques, and cell-based assays.

Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to generate novel AAV gene therapy viral vectors
  • Establish, execute, and analyze cell-based, biochemical and molecular assays
  • Prepare, write, and present technical data and reports
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to drive innovation
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Virology or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience with tissue culture techniques: culturing cell lines, plasmid transfection, virus transduction, etc. Strong preference for prior expertise with primary human cells.
  • Experience developing quantitative cell-based assays
  • Hands on experience with molecular and biochemical methods: reporter assays, RT-qPCR, PCR, cloning, production and purification of recombinant proteins.
  • Experience with design, documentation, and execution of experiments 
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and well-organized
  • Must be independently motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must be highly productive in a fluid and fast-paced work environment
