Job Description

Our client specializes in providing customized pharmacy services to assisted living, long-term care, and nursing home facilities. They are growing and looking to add a Business Development Representative to their team to cover the Northeast Territory. This role is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. The Business Development Representative may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers
  • Established CRM with target clients
  • Schedule and perform service presentations with potential customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
  • Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
  • Document all activities into the CRM system
  • Achieve sales goals and targets
  • Generate and submit sales reports to management and participate in weekly sales meeting

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in an outside sales role; Pharmaceutical industry experience is ideal
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate upward concisely
  • A strong drive for results
  • Ability to navigate a complex conversation to close the deal
  • Ability to persevere and be self-directed
  • Experience using sales CRM technology
  • Can establish yourself as a subject matter expert
  • Experience handling high volume prospecting
  • Exceptional organizational skills
