Job Description

The Sr. Program Manager will manage the operational and tactical activities for our client' s R&D development portfolio. The Sr. Program Manager works with the Program Lead on internal teams to manage the company’ s program management planning capability and tools in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of program teams. In this role, the Sr. Program Manager will manage schedules and activities, utilize project management tools to create and manage project plans and track progress and results. This position reports to the Associate Director/Director, Portfolio Strategy and Program Leadership, and will work closely with the Program Development Teams to manage program activities. This position requires excellent communication skills and desire and willingness to work in a fast pace entrepreneurial environment.

  • Working with Program Lead and program teams to build and maintain project plans using Smartsheet or other project management tools
  • Work with program team in the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, presentation materials, and follow up action items
  • Maintain tools for communication about project goals and progress (i.e. Egnyte, Office 365 sites)
  • Track progress of activities and deliverables, manage key program deliverables, and identify program risks and mitigation strategies, and anticipate potential issues
  • Develop and maintain key program tracking tools for communication with the Leadership Team
  • Work with the Program Team and Finance to define budgeting and forecasting information utilizing the financial management system
  • Manages multiple programs in clinical and pre-clinical development
  • Supports the program lead in management of projects to support the Program Management function

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • BS/BA, MSc, or MBA preferred
  • 6+ years’ experience in life sciences industry, with 4+ years of demonstrated program management experience managing cross-functional product development efforts
  • Demonstrated project management skills; must have high degree of energy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and dynamic environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient are essential
  • Ability to work independently and successfully in a matrix environment, and to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to integrate and influence cross-functional issues, balance competing priorities effectively, and successfully negotiate desired outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills (resources, timelines, cost/risk/benefit analysis)
  • Strong communication skills and fluency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Excel, PPT presentations, writing, etc.)
