In-House Lead CRA

Our client has an immediate need for an In-House Lead CRA to manage start-up activities and assist Clinical Trial Associates with 65 sites. This is a contract opportunity expected to run two (2) years.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Coordinate monitoring visits, centralized monitoring activities, and ensuring timely and accurate related deliverables for contract monitors
  • Negotiate budgets and site contracts
  • Act as backup contact for traveling monitors
  • Facilitate and document any unavoidable transition of sites from one monitor to another
  • As directed, conduct co-monitoring visits for purposes of meeting data deadlines, assessing monitor performance, and/or assessing/addressing issues at sites
  • Review monitoring visit/activity reports to achieve accuracy and completeness  within the timeframes specified in the Monitoring Plan and/or applicable SOPs
  • Provide and document site and/or monitor training as needed
  • Provide study updates and trackers as needed/requested
  • Oversight of collection of essential documents for the trial master file.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

 
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a relevant field of study (biology, chemistry, nursing, medical technology, premedical, biomedical engineering, pharmacy/pharmacology, etc.)
  • At least 5 years clinical monitoring experience including use of EDC systems
  • At least 2 years of monitor and/or study management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable US regulations and guidance
  • Proficient with all MS Office applications
  • Rapidly adapts to new technology
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Rare disease or oncology experience a plus
  • A valid driver’ s license as some travel may be required
