The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading the development, execution and achieving results for the talent acquisition strategy. S/he will partner with employees, business leaders, HR Business Partners and hiring managers across the organization to develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet human capital needs. This individual will define the required metrics to measure achievement of key recruiting programs and initiatives to better attract, select and retain talent. Additionally, this role will be actively recruiting employees for the organization.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Recruitment Process
    • Lead recruitment of high quality talent to the organization
    • Build talent pipelines by generating interest in passive candidates
    • Continuously seek to improve the entire life-cycle recruitment process to ensure an optimal and efficient candidate and manager experience
    • Partner with leadership to manage executive level searches
    • Define and drive the achievement of key recruitment metrics and report to management on a regular basis
    • Partner with OD/Learning and HR Operations teams in improving the on-boarding process for new employees to improve candidate experience and retention.
    • Partner with HR business partners in the development of an integrated recruitment strategy for interns 
  • Strategy
    • Develop and implement the recruitment strategy applying best practices and programs in response to overall enterprise and individual business unit needs to ensure a diverse and high-quality talent pool
    • Leverage and utilize the Employee Value Proposition to engage, attract, and retain key talent
    • Develop best practices to provide a consistent and positive candidate experience at all levels of the organization
    • Review current methodologies and develop a more cohesive, strategic talent acquisition and sourcing strategy that ensures diverse short-term and long-term talent pipelines
  • Internal and External Collaboration
  • Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and educate them on the external landscape as it relates to strategic Talent Acquisition issues across the business units and functions
  • Coach and develop managers in best practices for attracting, screening and acquiring top talent
  • Partner with HR business partners to develop recruiting tactics that meet their clients’ needs and implement programs to limit regrettable losses across the organization
  • Lead the cultivation of external relationships with universities, associations, etc. to establish networks through professional contacts to develop diverse talent pools
  • Evaluate, manage, and streamline external partners/vendors as appropriate to supplement internal talent acquisition capabilities

  • Bachelor degree required; Master’ s degree or MBA preferred and SPHR certification a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition with development of recruitment and sourcing strategies; 5+ years managing talent acquisition/recruitment to include team structure, staff development and general recruitment operations with deep knowledge of recruitment strategies and branding
  • Minimum 5 years people management required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are required. Must be able to quickly establish credibility with diverse audiences and be perceived as a leader and must possess excellent influencing skills
  • Significant in-depth understanding of business objectives and how they translate into Talent Acquisition priorities
  • Experience in the use of technology, data analytics and insights as they relate to recruitment and hiring practices
  • Working knowledge and understanding of US employment and labor laws and consideration of those laws
  • Experience in leadership of change management efforts and communication planning/delivery
  • Well versed in the administrative side of talent acquisition and a vision for automating and enhancing the candidate experience
  • Excellent negotiation, collaboration and team building skills
