Manager, Workforce Management Strategy and Planning

The Manager of Workforce Management Strategy and Planning is   responsible for managing the daily flow of all workload generated from the corporate office to the retail stores to ensure that all tasks communicated to the stores are appropriately prioritized, and are able to be performed within the current retail operating environment.  Also they will be analyzing ongoing task history, provide compliance reporting and collaborating with teams throughout the business to eliminate duplicate effort and improve efficiency.  This individual is also responsible for overseeing the development of updates for store-based technology systems in order to streamline process inefficiencies and increase store productivity. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead all daily activities related to the creation and approval of workload for the retail stores.
  • Review and approve all requests for work originating from the various corporate departments.
  • Track and monitor available capacity on a store-by-store basis in conjunction with previously published workload to ensure the work can be performed within the available budget and labor capacity.
  • Oversees the task management system and function as the subject matter expert
  • Manage gatekeeping functions with the originators when the requested workload is unable to be performed.
  • Facilitate communication between the task originator and the corporate finance department to secure additional labor funding as needed.
  • Analyze routine workload to determine opportunities to improve existing processes and identify opportunities to eliminate duplicate effort or misuse of available capacity.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with task management software is preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite; Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required.
  • Ability to perform and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Retail store experience a plus.
